Learning-In-Action Programme

In our Local School Immersion programme students have the opportunity to study at a local government school, getting the full Australian educational and local experience. This programme is carefully combined with BlueSky Education excursions for a powerful learning experience. Students will foster cultural exchange, participate in classroom activities, meet teachers and fellow students, engage in extracurricular activities and get a glimpse of the school’s facilities and culture.

Course Overview

The “Learning in Action” programme offered by BlueSky Education combines education and exploration to provide students with a unique learning experience. It emphasizes a combination of pre-learning video calls, specialized excursions, and independent learning opportunities to foster critical thinking and independence.

What You Will Learn

Students have the unique opportunity to have pre learning video calls with their teachers and future programme mates to understand the key concepts which will be covered in our Learning in Action programme based on the SDG’s. These concepts will be explored through our specialised excursions which encourage students to be independent learners and think critically about the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

  • Introduction

The programme begins with pre-learning video calls, where students have the opportunity to connect with their teachers and future program mates. These calls serve as an introduction to the key concepts that will be covered throughout the programme, setting the stage for the learning journey ahead.

  • Learning Objectives

The primary goal of the "Learning in Action" programme is to enable students to develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter and enhance their critical thinking skills. By participating in specialized excursions and engaging in independent learning, students are encouraged to become independent learners who can think critically and analyze information effectively.

  • Key Concepts

Throughout the programme, students will explore and delve into various key concepts relevant to the subject matter. These concepts are carefully selected to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the topic and to promote intellectual growth. The pre-learning video calls provide a foundation for these concepts, which are then further explored during the specialized excursions.

  • Activities

The programme incorporates specialized excursions that serve as hands-on learning experiences. These excursions are designed to foster independent learning and critical thinking. Students will actively engage with the subject matter through interactive activities, discussions, and practical applications. By participating in these activities, students gain a deeper understanding of the key concepts and develop practical skills related to the subject.
