course overview
The Singapore Green Technology Programme aims to give students an introduction to many of the global problems facing us all and what is being done to address them. Students will have fun hands on lessons where key principles are illustrated by experiments and in the afternoon visit some of the world’s leading centres on urban farming, waste management, and renewable energy.
Through the course of the two weeks and the final collaborative group project we hope to instill inspiration in students to pursue green technology in the future themselves.

WHAT ARE OUR STUDENTS SAYING?

WHAT ARE OUR STUDENTS SAYING?
Many countries, especially China have environmental problems and it is up to our generation to save the planet. I got to learn many new things that I hope can help in the future while here in Singapore.

WHAT ARE OUR STUDENTS SAYING?
The experiments in class were a lot of fun. I can’t believe you can make an oven from a pizza box, so cool. We even built our own wind powered cars!

WHAT ARE OUR STUDENTS SAYING?
I was very impressed how the teachers engaged the students and got them interested and excited about the environment. They enjoyed the fun experiments and developed important teamwork and communication skills from the projects.

WHAT ARE OUR STUDENTS SAYING?
My favourite part of the programme was the Singapore zoo, it was so clean and inside I saw many animals I had never seen before. Zoos usually make me feel sad but the animals here look so much happier. I think my favorite animal was the white tiger, they were so beautiful.

WHAT ARE OUR STUDENTS SAYING?
Hong Kong and Singapore are similar in many ways, but the air is much cleaner here and the city has amazing technology for the future. I hope I can bring back what I learned these two weeks to my city.
