This programme highlights Japan’s rich traditions, historical sites, and cultural heritage through immersive workshops and excursions in Tokyo and nearby regions.
What You Will Learn
You will learn the foundations of Japanese traditions, historical developments, and cultural values through hands-on experiences and immersive city tours. You’ll gain cultural awareness, appreciation for Japanese arts and customs, and insights into how Japan’s past influences its modern identity.

Traditional Japanese arts, tea ceremony, kimono culture, Shinto traditions, classical history, museums, temples, and Edo-period heritage.

Tea ceremony & kimono workshop, Tokyo National Museum visit, Asakusa cultural tour, Art Aquarium Museum, Yokohama history tour, and guided city explorations with local university students.
Outcome
Students develop deep appreciation for Japanese culture, improved cultural sensitivity, historical understanding, and the ability to connect traditional practices with modern society.
